“My Life” 3 Years Old, Hand Fingers

Hand Fingers, Acrylic on Canvas, 48×36 inch

My babyhood was not bright because of my mother’s depression and the war. My mother probably wanted to hide me from other people as she was ashamed of my missing eye.

In order to avoid the heavy feelings, I must have focused on the green leaves outside of the windows. These brought me to the beauty of fractal shapes that I developed later in life.

As you can see my mother’s hands and fingers are hiding my face.
