Sailing, most of the time, is smooth and gliding between the waves. The boat is gently uplifted and advances quietly towards a distant destination powered by the wind. We cruised our sailboat “Notre Voyage” for 3 years from New York City to the Caribbean.
It is hard to make a straight line when sailing so I did just the opposite and allowed the moving boat to guide my hand.
All the lines are gentle movements with the fractal spiral representing the wind and waves that create the motion. The wave lines inspired me of spirals. I created a spiral to interact with the boat movement and used color to create excitement.
